Prayer Points for 6-23-10

For Your Prayers

1) Praise God for His invitation and promise to respond to our prayers when we ask according to His will.

2) Ask the Lord to convict you of prayerlessness. Repent of any sin of relying on your own resources rather than seeking the treasures of heaven.

3) Confess to the Lord any unbelief that keeps you from devoting yourself to fervent and prevailing prayer.

4) Invite the Holy Spirit to “stir you up” to “take hold of God” in His promise to answer prayer. Pray that He will stir your heart toward greater prayer for revival.

5) Offer the Lord your wholehearted surrender to seek Him for all things. Invite Him to transform you into a “kneeling Christian” with a lifestyle of unceasing intercession before His throne.

Other Prayer Requests:

  • The state of Louisiana declared a day of prayer on Sunday, June 20, for the oil crisis in the Gulf. Part of their official resolution included the recognition that man's efforts to stop the flow of oil have failed - and there is a desperate need for "divine intervention." Join with the people who are experiencing this devastation by crying out to God for His mercy. Pray that many people will turn to the Lord as their only hope.

  • Please pray for Mark Peterson as he leads Prayer Transformation Ministries. Mark is joined in the ministry by Carol Madison, Madan Valvi, and Colleen Thompson. They are meeting and praying about the vision for PTM, which includes Preparing the Church for the coming revival. Pray for Mark as he balances both ministry and business. Pray for Carol as she writes for PTM, as well as speaks on revival and works with other prayer ministries. Pray for Madan as he travels and speaks on prayer and the vision of revival. And please lift up Colleen as she intercedes and helps to establish a new PTM office.

  • Please pray about new radio spots being developed by PTM in cooperation with Larry Kutzler. Pray that the appropriate prayer testimonies will be compiled with biblical teaching to motivate people toward lifestyles of prayer and repentance in seeking God for revival.

  • Pray for our nation that is so divided over many issues. Pray for wisdom for our leaders, along with a sense of humility, brokenness, and a need for the truths of Jesus Christ. Pray that a true heaven-sent revival will awaken the Church, bring conviction of sin, and renew hope in Christ throughout our nation.

  • Praise the Lord for His great movement throughout the earth in calling His people to pray on the Global Day of Prayer (May 23). In Minneapolis, hundreds of believers gathered in prayer and worship, which was broadcast throughout the state on three radio stations. Please pray for the ongoing ministry through the summer of the 90 Days of Blessing. Pray for Melanie Leehy as she heads up this phase of the Global Day of Prayer. Pray that neighborhoods of Minneapolis and St. Paul will be blessed with love of Christ and the truth of the gospel.

  • Praise God that He calls forerunners of intercession to pray for revival. Thank Him for those prayer warriors in your life who have prayed for you and for revival. Pray for them today, that God might encourage them to stay faithful.

  • Pray for the diplomatic relations between the United States and Israel. Pray for truth to prevail, and  for the peace of Jerusalem -- especially regarding threats by hostile nations. Pray for wisdom for Israeli leaders as they weigh appropriate responses. Pray for the safety and well being of the Israeli people and other innocent victims of hatred and violence. Pray that the Lord will continue to reveal Himself to all involved.

  • Thousands of people are coming to Christ in miraculous ways in Iraq, Iran, and other Middle Eastern countries. There is a movement of revival among the believers, and those who do not know Christ are encountering Him in dreams and visions. Pray for an ongoing unprecedented evangelistic harvest in those nations. Pray also for the encouragement and protection of believers who may face persecution.

  • Keep an eye on the headlines news as you pray. So much is happening in different parts of the world, including upheaval and devastation. The earth is groaning and shaking! Pray for God's peace and comfort through Jesus Christ to reign in people's hearts. Pray for a great evangelistic harvest in the midst of difficult days. Pray also for the areas of the world that are threatening war and destruction. Ask the Lord to intervene with His righteousness and justice.

  • Pray for our President and other leaders of our nation, "that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness" (2 Tim. 2:2). Pray for continued protection from terrorist attacks.

  • Pray for a mighty movement of God in revival in our nation. We desperately need it! Join us in pleading with God, crying out day and night until He graciously responds by pouring out His Spirit. Pray for a powerful revival that will result in a massive evangelistic harvest in our nation and around the world!
